The American 250 is a commemorative American Mahjong collection marking the nation's Semiquincentennial — and this is the complete pairing: the full tile set and its coordinating mat, ready to play the moment it arrives.
Every tile is an American icon. Shields for the dots, Liberty torches for the bamboo — with the bald eagle on the one bam — and Liberty Bells on the craks. The three dragons carry the Statue of Liberty, the Golden Gate Bridge, and "We the People." Ten jokers, no two alike: Uncle Sam, the Capitol, Mount Rushmore, the Space Shuttle, and more. And on the back of every tile, the commemorative 250, ringed by 13 stars for the original colonies.
Each tile is crafted from premium acrylic and substantial in the hand — 1.42″ tall × 1″ wide × 16mm thick.
The companion mat completes the table: a softly striped field with rings of stars around the flag-draped 250 in cream and gold, bordered by the Statue of Liberty, the Golden Gate, Mount Rushmore, the Capitol, the White House, and the Space Shuttle, with 1776–2026 in the corner. At a generous 32.5″ × 32.5″, it seats all four players in comfort and rolls flat at just 3mm thick for easy storage.
